How much does a plumber cost in Harare?
It depends on the job, but you always get a written price before we start. Small repairs like a leaking tap or a blocked toilet are quoted as a fixed job price. Larger work — geysers, bathrooms, re-pipes, industrial pipework — is quoted per item with labour and materials listed separately, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
Do you charge for a call-out or a quote?
Quotes for planned work are free. For emergency call-outs we charge a call-out fee that covers travel and the first assessment, and we tell you that fee on WhatsApp before we get in the vehicle. If you go ahead with the repair, the fee comes off the final bill.
Can the price change once you've started?
No. The price we agree is the price you pay. If we uncover something hidden — a collapsed drain under a slab, for example — we stop, show you, and quote that separately. Nothing extra is ever added without your say-so.
Are you a registered plumbing company?
Yes. Barmak Plumbing Private Limited is a registered Zimbabwean private limited company based in Harare, working with qualified, time-served plumbers. Company registration and staff qualifications are available on request, and all workmanship is guaranteed.
Do you take on commercial and industrial contracts?
Yes — offices, retail, lodges, restaurants, body corporates, factories and warehouses. We handle both one-off projects and ongoing planned maintenance contracts with agreed response times.
Do you work after hours and on weekends?
Yes. Emergency call-outs run 24/7, including weekends and public holidays. Message us on WhatsApp and describe the problem — we'll tell you straight away whether it needs someone tonight or can wait for the morning.
